Blackjack Card Counter Loses Case Against Harrah’s

Steven Silverstein, a blackjack card counter who had appealed to the Nevada Supreme Court against his banishment from Harrah’s casinos, lost the appeal last week.
In September of 2009, Silverstein was ousted from the Paris Las Vegas property of Harrah’s and warned that he would be arrested if he tried to come back into any of Harrah’s casinos in the western region. The casino operator had alleged that Silverstein had been counting cards while palying blackjack.
Silverstein filed a lawsuit seeking an injunction against Harrah’s ban. He wrote to the Harrah’s CEO claiming that it was a case of mistaken identity and said that he had earlier had trouble with registering his name for the World Series of Poker as his name figured on a Nevada State blacklist of persons prohibited from Nevada casinos. He added that the tournament organizers later corrected the error. He said he plays blackjack for just a few hours in a year and never for “big money”.
His arguments apparently did not convince the three-judge panel who upheld the casino’s decision to bar Silverstein’s entry.
The reasoning behind the court’s decision is that the law “does not create a statutory individual right of access to the property of a gaming company.”

In a move that may prove to be a winner, this Seminole Casino is not looking to hire your regular blackjack dealer. Instead, and in a throwback to many other casinos, they are looking for “Coco Girls” to serve both as casino ambassadors and blackjack dealers.
The Coconut Creek Casino has been involved in a $150 million expansion and has been hiring a lot of staff. It s plans to hire Coco Girls and then train them as blackjack dealers. These girls will also have to appear in photo shoots and videos promoting the casino. Naturally, we can assume that all these Coco Girls will be very attractive, since one of their job requirements will have them pose for shoots.
As per the casino rules, the Coco Girls will have to be 18 years and older and have a great personality. They must also know how to dance. The candidates will then be trained as blackjack dealers and will get jobs once they pass the test.

Barona Casino Gets More Managers to Help blackjack Players

The Barona Resort and Casino is attracting a lot of player traffic and appears to be doing very well. In an effort to meet their growing demand for player interaction and to assist blackjack players on the casino floor, the casino has increased its staff of managers.
In order to add to its number of Casino Managers, the casino had decided to promote many of its capable staff, rather than hire new staff. Many of its executives now have the role and designation of Casino Manager. Their job is to create a fun environment for blackjack and casino players.
Rick Salinas, the general manager at the Barona Resort and& Casino commented on the changes. “Over the years we have transformed Barona into a magical place where our players and our staff leave the world outside and engage with each other in the most honest and friendliest of manners,” he said.
So far, the casino has promoted 5 of its executives as Casino Managers. The Barona casino currently hosts 80 table games, of which one is blackjack. They also have the reputation of being one of the loosest casinos in the region.
“While there are many facets to Barona’s success, a large part of it has been the enhanced role of our Casino Managers interacting with our players on the casino floor. We have selected the best of the best to grow and develop this special group and continue Barona’s legacy of winning moments for our guests,” Salinas added.

Perfect Pair Bet Increases House Edge to 10 Percent

Britain’s First Supercasino Opens For Casino Players
